Praktica was an East German camera brand manufactured by Pentacon, a group based out of Dresden, during the cold war. When Germany reunified many East German manufacturing groups, including Penatcon, were broken up and assets were sold to existing West German companies. The Praktica brand was used for at least a decade by the new owners. This camera was probably manufactured around 2004, though I have no solid information on it.
It delivers surprisingly good results - it's very reminiscnet of 1990s/2000s Fujifilm colours. In operation it's less fun - it takes a full ten seconds to save a photo to the SD card and rolling shutter problems abound, particularly in low light (which is most light).
I bought this camera at the Ferikoy flea market in Istanbul in 2021 for about the equivalent of one euro. Worth every korus.
